Art in Movement: The Intersection of Textile, Fashion, and Migration

For me, canvas is just the beginning. I view textiles not merely as a medium, but as an extension of the human experience. This philosophy drives my work into the realm of fashion, creating “Art in Movement.” By translating my original abstract patterns onto fabric and haute couture garments, the artwork is liberated from the static gallery wall. It becomes a living, moving canvas that mirrors the fluid nature of migration, adapting, traveling, and interacting with the rhythm of daily life and human expression across different borders.

The Migrant Perspective and Purpose

Born and raised in Argentina with Spanish and Swiss roots and currently working from my studio/gallery in Hilversum, Netherlands, my artistic journey is fundamentally shaped by the concept of migration. Moving across continents has deeply influenced my worldview, infusing my work with the unique resilience, nostalgia, and adaptability born of the migrant experience.

Encountering diverse cultures and witnessing universal social struggles worldwide has transformed my practice into a vehicle for advocacy. I treat my art as a powerful tool for promoting sustainability, social empowerment, and gender equality, firmly believing in the transformative capacity of creativity to cross borders and uplift communities.
